I will try to make this post as chatty as I can, so get ready. Get yourself a drink (or maybe yet a popcorn… and a drink) and make yourself comfortable.
Since summer has finally kicked in and the heat index has gone up to maximum level I have done nothing but stay in my room all day everyday. I don’t even go out to eat my meals. I have my meals brought up to my room.
The other day I was supposed to run some errands but after getting ready I decided not to go out anymore. I didn’t even make it outside my house. It was just too hot to be outside. I hate it when I start to sweat. I hate it when you feel sticky and most of all my hair becomes alive and make my life very uncomfortable.
All I have been doing is work from home. Inside my room. With AC on 24 hours.
I was talking to my friend Roxanne yesterday and found out that she has been doing the same thing too. With the heat + the traffic, hell no.
I have an appointment with my dentist today, I hope I can make it out of my room, so help me god.
This is not a rant. Of course it is hot now ‘cos it’s summer. It won’t be summer if it’s not hot, right?
All I am saying is I want to be in the beach right now!
Back to reality.
I have been working mostly on our summer collection that we launched lately. I love everything! The pineapple, the cactus, the palm tree and the moon & star. Our Hoop earrings! Omg. I can’t stop wearing them.
I like it so much that I need to have the whole collection in my life.
And I have been online shopping like crazy to the point TB told me: dahan dahan ka naman dyn (english translation: hey, slow down). Every time I click the BUY button I would feel so guilty. But only for a few minutes (maybe 3 minutes top, hahaha).
I miss my Mom & Dad and my siblings.
I miss the time when we were in Jacksonville (Florida). The time when we would all gather in the living room (my sisters house) every morning and have coffee and just talk and laugh. I miss that.
I miss shopping with my sisters and my brother Chris. I miss shopping with them ‘cos every time we reach the cashier they pay for mine, too! hahahahaha. Seriously, I miss the part were they were such an enabler. Every time I would pick up something I am not sure of getting and ask my sisters if I should get it or not, they would tell me, go, get it! My sister Putchie is the worst. She would put everything in my cart.
I miss the time when my brother Chris and my sister in law Lani went with me to Whole Foods to buy Claudia’s list. Damn, it was so difficult to find every item in her list.
And I would tell my brother go ask help from the sales assistants: “ikaw na pangutana didto kay mas maayo ka mo ininglis nako.” (Tagalog translation: Ikaw na mag tanong kasi mas magaling ka mag english sa akin) (English translation: you be the one to ask them cos you speak better english than me).
I miss my room in my sisters house in L.A.
I miss everything what being a family stand for.
I can’t wait for our next reunion.
One of the things I bought online: new cases for my laptop! That’s what I get for clicking Slick Case site. ughhhh.
You want to know what designs I picked up this time?
The top 2 (Floral Paradise and Flamingos) have been in my cart for so long already and I have forgotten about it. I finally click the buy button.
And just the other day I saw these!
Enough already! Maybe next time.
Sometime last week I saw this post in Instagram of a bathing suit and I went wild. I tagged Roxanne and Claire right away and told them that it is killing me.
I am talking about this:
A few minutes after the seller commented to my post and said that it will be available by next week. I replied and told her to let me know when it is available. And a few minutes later again, one of my followers DM’d me and told me to go to this site. So I went.
Holy f*****g sh*t.
Todo na ‘to teh. (sorry no english translation. I don’t know how to say this in english! hahaha)
I ended up clicking the BUY button:
I can’t wait for these to arrive ‘cos I am going to run to the beach as asap as possible! hahaha.
My super bff Pete Ong (he’s my dentist too) called me yesterday, and our conversation went on like this:
Pete: kapatid, kumusta ka na? Ano na ba nangyayari sayo at hangang sa ka sulok sulokan ng Antique kilala ka.
english translation: sister, how are you? What happened to you that even in the corners of Antique (a province in the Visayas) people know you!
me: huh? sino yang mga yan!
english translation: huh? who? who are these people?
Pete: yung isang dentista na kaaibigan ko na taga Antique. Sinabi sa akin fan mo daw sya. Nag babasa ng blog mo.
english translation: my friend who’s a dentist in Antique. She told me she’s your fan and she reads your blog.
me: talaga kapatid? Sabihin mo salamat ha.
english translation: really sister? Tell her I said thank you for reading my blog.
So, a big shout out to my friends in Antique!
Anyway, I need to end this already cos it’s already 9:45am and my dental appointment is at 11:00am.
I have to get ready and run.
ciao everyone! Nice chatting with you!
