Product Review

My friends have been asking me to do a product review. I keep on putting it off ‘cos first, I have been busy, second, I haven’t really use a lot of the items I have hauled enough to do a review.

Yesterday, I went through my make up drawers and thought it’s about time to do a review. These products that I will review now has been with me for a long time already and I have only been using them recently. These are the products I have been using non stop for 2 weeks already.

So, here they are.

Too Faced Cocoa Contour

Claudia bought this for me in Sephora Singapore in one of her trips to Singapore last year. This has been sitting in my drawer since then until I decided to use it 2 weeks ago.

I love the smell. It smells so good. It smells like chocolates.

I use this to bronze my face and to contour also. It blends well in my skin and it is pigmented. It is buttery and that makes it easier to blend. And it is not patchy.

Love this!

MAC Eye Shadow Palette in Warm Neutral

I picked this up in MAC store in Rustan’s sometime last year and never got to use it. I’m glad I started using this ‘cos I love it!

I use (the one with heart) on my crease to give depth to my eyes. (The name of the shades are written at the back but I don’t know which one is which)

I want to use the other shades and play with it! There’s a lot of look I can do with this palette.

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Multi Color n Marinière No. 1

This is one of the items that I got in Chanel’s Les Beiges collection when it came out early last year.

I love the shade. It is very light pink and very nice to wear during summer time. Pigmented and finely milled. And I love the scent.

NARS  Christopher Kane Illuminating Multiple in Violet Atom

When NARS came out with their Christopher Kane Collection, this was one of the items in that collection that caught my eye. This is similar to their Copacabana highlighter which I love.

This is okay, but I like the Copacabana better. It takes a few swipe for it appear on my face. Not like Copacabana that takes only one swipe and you get highlighted right away.

I apply this on the highest point of my face. On the top of my cheek, on the tip of my nose, on my cupids bow, on my forehead and on my chin.

Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con in 204 The Starlet

This is one of the first items of Marc Jacobs make up line that I purchased. I’ve had this for more than 2 years already and I never used it.

When I was cleaning my make up drawers a few weeks ago I saw this and thought of finally using it.

I used (the one with heart) all over my eyelids. I love it. It is very pigmented, easy to blend, buttery (no fall outs) and the color pay off is good.

Ofra Liquid Lipstick in Charmed

This is one of the items I hauled the other day. When I went to Landmark to pick up a few stuff I passed by the Ofra counter and noticed that they change their packaging. So, I decided to pick up a few shades that I don’t have yet.

I tried this today and it’s not only the packaging that they changed. They also changed the formulation. I super love the new formulation! It is very pigmented, not drying on my lips and I noticed that it is very moisturizing.

Ofra is one of the best liquid lipstick that I have tried. Although kinda pricey (same price point as Anastacia Beverly Hills liquid Lipstick and Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick). But it is worth it.

So, there you are. The new products that I have used recently.

  • Ms. Tina love the make up you are glowing!!!
By the way Loreal infallible stay fresh is already available in Pinas. Nagpabili ko sa friend ko, its made in france! I like it same as pro matte 🙂

  • Hi Tina! I have been reading your blog since blogspot days 🙂 Back when your chronicles detail your kids’ life in BSM. Where did time go? Everyone is all grown up and very successful in their chosen endeavour. I used to enjoy all your anecdotes and took me some time before I appreciated your make up series. Nakakabilib! You make it appear so easy and you know how to make it look so perfect. I have one request though 🙂 Aside from your OOTD and makeup skills, I have secretly admired your bag collections. In particular, the Hermes and Chanel. Whenever I see the stores in Manila or in neighbouring HK, can’t help but wonder the buying process that happens. Is it true that they serve champagne and treat their customers like princesses inside the stores? Or in the case of Hermes, I never imagined how “challenging” is the buying process involved. Recently, I discovered some Asian microbloggers in IG like I enjoyed reading their experiences in purchasing the most coveted Hermes. If you would allow, can you share to us your buying experiences as well? 🙂 Iba kasi, kapag ikaw ang nagkkwento. There’s always that level of entertaining factor involved.. that not everyone can do.

Thanks a lot. Have a great day!

  • ^Agree ako kay Kris!
I am as hoi polloi as it can get and chances are I wouldn’t be shopping there anytime soon (or in this lifetime hahahahaha!), and I would love to have a peek on how it goes. Sana may video ng unboxing next time.
