Product Review: Nlighten CC Cream

Sometime 2 weeks ago someone sent me a product and asked me to try it. No strings attached, she said. Meaning I don’t have to blog about it. She just wanted me to try it.

I only found time to use it just this week. I’ve used it twice already and I kinda like it. You know me if there’s a product that I like I always want to share it with you guys.

The product I’m talking about is CC Cream Cushion called Nlighten. I’ve never heard about this brand and this specific product before (but now I see it in Instagram and Facebook).

Nlighten CC Cushion

I really don’t know the difference between a BB cream and a CC cream. Actually, I’ve never used a CC cream before, this is my first time. Altho’ I used to use BB creams. Once in awhile I still do if I want to put on light make up. I use BB cream instead of foundation.

So, I don’t know what to expect with CC creams.

Nlighten is a Korean brand but they have a local distributor here.

After putting on my sunscreen I applied this using the sponge that came with it. A lot of people don’t know how to use cushion products. They usually don’t use the sponge that comes with it. That’s why they don’t get the right result. The secret is to use the sponge for good result. I see a lot of beauty gurus in Youtube that apply it using a foundation brush or a beauty blender. Wrong. They even throw away the sponge. I cringe every time they do this.

So, anyway, back to Nlighten. I noticed it was very easy to blend. My skin looked so fresh and dewy (you know me I’m all for looking dewy and fresh). I liked it right away.

Since it is light coverage I applied foundation over it.

Laura Mercier Oil Free Supreme Foundation

I applied just one pump so I won’t packed up a lot of products on my face.

I used Maybelline’s Fit Me concealer to cover my blemishes and some dark spots that was still visible.

With Nlighten CC cream, one pump of my Laura Mercier foundation and the Maybelline concealer my face was ready. It’s very light and you can still see my skin underneath. And that’s the way I like.

To set everything (cc cream, foundation and concealer) I used Chanel’s loose powder. Only becos I want to keep the dewy look on my face.

For Bronzer and contour, I finally used my new NARS Laguna Tiare Bronzer that I got last month.

I super love this. If you like the NARS Laguna Bronzer, you will like this. In fact I prefer this than the original one. This is not dark and ashy color. And does not come out orange on my face.

For blush I used Milani powder blush. I’m sure you’ve seen this in one of my hauls.

Milani Romantic Rose Powder Blush

Milani is known for their blushes. It’s so pigmented and buttery. It’s very easy to blend and has a strong staying power.

And for highlighter I used The Balm’s Mary-Lou Manizer to keep that glow going.

I love the way everything came out. My base is very light and yet I was able to conceal my blemishes and dark spots and I love the dewiness and how fresh my face look.

Here, take a look.
