Yesterday I went to Serendra to met up with my friend Kat. She ordered some t shirts (just because tees) and we decided to see each other to give her her orders ’cause I wanted to see Simone her 3 year old daughter who is my ina anak (godchild).
On my way to Serendra, while we were inside Fort already I saw the marshal that ticketed Joshua some time ago (first week of December). And uminit ulo ko when I saw him.
This is the story with our encounter with the said marshal.
Joshua and me were on our way to C5. When we got to the end of Mckinley corner Fifth ave. Joshua went straight instead of turning left to Fifth ave. I asked him if we were allowed to go straight ‘cos I know it’s not allowed. All vehicles coming from Mckinley are suppose to turn left or right but not straight. But he insisted that we can go straight already (they closed that area now).
After a block we were stopped by a roving marshal. Joshua opened his window and talked to the Marshal.
According to him we passed a one way street. Joshua told him that he didn’t know it was one way ‘cos there was no sign that says it’s one way and he saw some cars passing also (it was not only us).
The marshal was so sungit. He was acting like he was a commander or Chief of Staff ni Pnoy. I was just silent at the back and left it to Joshua to talk to him. Joshua made paki usap (borderline begging) to forgive him and not give him a ticket ‘cos it’s his first offense.
But he was insisting and he was scolding Joshua pa. Akala mo may ari sya ng The Fort.
So, I decided to butt in.
me: mama’ first offense lang naman namin eh.
marshal: anong sabi mo?
me: first offense lang naman namin
marshal: bago mo sinabi yan. Anong sinabi mo?
me: (thinking trying to remember what I said)… mama’?
marshal: (looking at me with dagger eyes na para akong naka patay)
me: (then, I got it!) ha? bakit anong gusto mo itawag ko sayo? Hindi naman kita kilala? Alangan naman tawagin kita ng ate.
marshal: ‘wag kayong sumigaw.
me: hindi ako sumisigaw. Ni lakasan ko lang yung boses ko kasi ang layo layo ko sayo baka hindi mo ako marinig. ITO ANG SUMISIGAWWWWWW!!! (I screamed).
me: (taking to Joshua) hay, naku Joshua ‘wag ka nang maki usap sa lecheng yan. Kunin mo na yang ticket. Hali ka na baka ma late pa ako sa appointment ko.
Joshua took the ticket. And we left.
After 5 days Joshua went to claim his license. I asked how much and he said usually it’s P500. So, I gave him P500. After like 30 minutes he called me and was so angry at the marshal that ticketed him. He gave him the wrong offense and now we have to pay P2,000 for that offense.
OMG. That instant I wanted to go run to Fort and look for that marshal. Why are there people like this guy? What an asshole. We had no choice but to pay for the offense that we didn’t do. I’ll just wait for karma to bite his ass.
Fast forward to yesterday. While we were in the stop light I saw that marshal! I wanted to go down and confront that asshole. ughhhh.
But, of course, I didn’t.
I was using Renante (Claudia’s driver) yesterday and I told him what happened to Joshua and he told me: “ibang klase talaga ang mga marshals dito mam. Sobrang stricto sila dito. Sobra pa sa pulis.”
Hay, naku. Power tripping.
I wore the yellow lens vintage Raybans yesterday!
But I like the green lens more. It’s brighter. I like this one, too. This one looks more vintage. Max Alvarado vintage. hahaha.
