So, after 20 years Maya retired already and has been spending time with her family. She messaged me 2 weeks ago to order some jewelries. A retirement gift to herself.
I was so happy to hear from her. I promised her that I’d treat her to lunch. My retirement gift to her.
Today was our lunch date and I brought her to… where else? but my favorite place La Cabrera Manila.
Luckily, Carlo and Chef Juan were there to entertain us.
Chef Juan Barcos and Carlo Lorenzana Calma. The men behind La Cabrera Manila
They wanted us to try their revised Sweet Breads. Sweet breads is either the throat, gullet, neck or heart of the cow. I already tasted their sweet breads before but Carlo said they revised it and it is so good. And true enough, it is so yummy! Chef Juan told me to squeeze lemon over it. This is a must try when you go to La Cabrera Manila.
We ordered my favorite steak the Entrata or the skirt steak.
We also had caesar’s salad. I always enjoy every time I dine in La Cabrera Manila. I feel so at home there or they make me feel welcome and comfortable. Well, aside from their good food.
