I have been craving for Wildflour’s mussels with fries since Monday. Roxanne and I have been trying to sneak out for lunch to have a quick bite but somehow we get stuck with something.
After doing some work (answering inquiries, follow up orders, filling up order slips, banking, etc.) I had Roxanne pick up by Joshua (driver) in her office.
Everytime we eat there Joshua usually drop me ahead to hold our table. Wildflour Salcedo Village branch has strict reservation rule. They will hold your reservation only for 10 mins. H.V. de la Costa (where Roxanne’s office is) can really get so traffic during lunch hours so to be sure that we won’t lose our table I go ahead.
Wildflour Salcedo branch is my favorite branch among all their branches. I love the ambience and I enjoy the crowd. 95% of the diners are yuppies from offices in the area and foreigners that live in the area.
I have lots of favorites in their menu but the one I am crazy about these days is the mussels with fries.
I don’t eat it with fries I eat it with the bread that goes with it. What I do is I dip the bread in the soup. The soup is full of flavor and it is a little creamy in consistency but not thick. Their french baguette is so good! Another favorite of mine from their kitchen. It is perfect to pair with the mussel soup.
Writing about it is making me salivate!
Roxanne ordered her favorite tomato soup and her favorite salad.
It was a good hump day treat for both of us.
