Good food, Good Company and Surprises

Roxanne and I were suppose to have lunch with our friend Claire Feliciano but Claire cancelled and couldn’t make it. Since I was psyched for lunch already I told Roxanne we’ll go ahead with lunch.

I asked JSP to join us and we all agreed on Korean food. I called Pam Garcia who owns Korea Garden and told her that we were going to have lunch there. I told her to tell her staff to give us discount. hahahaha.

Roxanne is forever going on a diet so we ordered just the healthy stuff. And for the first time I did not order sprite or seven up. I had the house tea. Talking about healthy eating to the core!

By the way, their house tea is soooo good!

As always Korea Garden was superb to say the very least. I love Korean food. Or maybe you know that by now. And for me Korea Garden is the most authentic. Or maybe you know that by now.

Another thing I love about Korea Garden is the place is so clean. It doesn’t smell. You know what I mean when I say it doesn’t smell. There are some restaurants (or most of the restaurants) that’s not maintained well and you can smell their kitchen all the way from the dining area.

Nana is the worst. She wants clean floors. If the floor is not clean, she’ll never go back and she tells us don’t eat there kasi madumi ang sahig. hahahaha.

But actually, Nana is right. There are some restos that has yucky and sticky floors. So, that means they did not clean it well. So, can you just imagine the kitchen?

Go, figure.

So, anyway… we had such a good lunch. Aside from the food, we had a good laugh! We were so happy ’cause Roxanne’s bf surprised her and came back all the way from Palm Springs in just a week! woooooh. Talking about surprises.

Roxy got flabbergasted ’cause he surprised her and she didn’t have time to have her mani/pedi, her roots done and the most important thing, the flower arrangement! hahahahahaha!

Happy na naman si Roxanne. Ang sarap ng halakhak nya.

And the best part of our lunch is Pam took care of the bill!

When I called the waitress and asked for the bill, the waitress told us: “Mam Pam took care of it na po.” I was so shocked that I looked at Roxanne and JSP with my mouth open. We couldn’t say anything for a few seconds, we just stared at each other.

Once again, Pam, thank you soooo much. You are such a sweetheart.

After lunch we walked to JSP’s office in Pacific Star. It was very near Korea Garden. Joshua went home to have lunch and I told him to pick me up in Pacific Star.

While crossing Buendia Ave., they told me to walk faster to beat the red light. The whole time I was screaming at both of them: “na wawala ang pagka donya ko nito! Ayoko nito. Joshua, sunduin mo na ako!”

Then Roxy answered: “welcome to the corporate life.”
