Nude Palettes

When Urban Decay came out with their Naked Palettes (Naked Palette 1, 2 and 3), other brands came out with their own version of nude palettes, too.

I have the Naked Palettes 1,2 & 3 IMG_6166I really can’t choose which of these 3 I love the most. They are all good and has beautiful shades.

Naked Palette 1IMG_6168Naked Palette 2IMG_6169Naked Palette 3IMG_6171And I have a few of the nude palettes of the other brands, too.

The Balm Nude’tudeIMG_6176IMG_6177I just recently purchased this palette (last June) and I have used it a couple of times already. My favorite shade is Sultry and Silly.

Soap & Glory The Perfect TenIMG_6178IMG_6179I only used this once and I didn’t like it. It’s so chalky, a lot of fall outs and not pigmented enough. And I didn’t like the packaging. It’s a good thing this is limited edition.

NYX Nude on NudeIMG_6181IMG_6184I have used this a couple of times already. This is okay but nothing to rave about.

And then there’s BYS.

I was in Watson’s (SM Makati) one afternoon a few months ago (May) to pick up some toiletries. And I passed by the counter of BYS. It’s an Australian drugstore brand. I have never tried any of their products.

What caught my eye is their nude palettes ’cause it looked exactly like Urban Decay’s Naked Palettes 1 & 2. They copied even the packaging (of course Urban Decay is so much better). But BYS didn’t look cheap at all.

The packaging is made of tin also (just like Urban Decay) but with a combination of cardboard (like The Balm’s packaging).

I swatched it and I liked it enough for me to buy both palettes.IMG_6173When I got home I just put it aside and I completely forgot all about it. Until this morning when I was looking for something in my make-up drawers and I saw it.

Since I have never used it I decided to use it today. I chose the Nude 2 Palette.IMG_6175I used DFloor all over my eye lids and I used VIP in my crease.

And I love it! I love it more than the NYX. I love it more than The Balm. I love it more than Soap & Glory. And I think I love it more than Urban Decay.

And here are the reasons why I like it. First, it is buttery and has a cream like consistency (so, no fall outs). Second, it is pigmented and third, it is very easy to blend.

I was very surprised cause the first time I saw it I was laughing because it looked like a cheap version of Urban Decay. I did not expect it to be good.

I haven’t use the other palette yet. But these are the shades of that palette.IMG_6174It looks like a dupe of Urban Decay’s Naked Palette 1.

I don’t know if these palettes will work for you the way it worked for me. And like I said earlier I picked this up sometime in May this year, so I am not sure if these are still available. But you can check.

BYS is available in Watson’s SM Makati.

Here it is:IMG_0665This is my everyday make up look. Love it!
