Movie Review: The Age of Adaline

Ever since the kids have become “adults” (so to speak) and have different schedules we hardly have time to sit down and have a meal together. So, we made Sunday our family day. Have lunch out and go shopping sometimes, if we’re not lazy.

Today we decided to eat at home (meaning I have to cook) cause Vinny had a flight to Tokyo early afternoon.

After lunch I was left with nothing to do. JSP suggested we go watch a movie. At first I was hesitant since I am not really fond of watching movies in the theater. But I went ahead and I am glad I did.

The Age of Adelineimages

Cast: Blake Lively, Harrison Ford, Michiel Huisman, Ellen Burstyn, Kathy Baker, Amanda Crew.

Directed by: Lee Toland Krieger.

I love the movie! It’s a different kind of love story. I am not a good movie critic but here’s the synopsis:

“Adaline Bowman (Blake Lively) has miraculously remained a youthful 29 years of age for nearly eight decades, never allowing herself to get close to anyone lest they discover her secret. However, a chance encounter with a charismatic philanthropist named Ellis Jones (Michiel Huisman) reawakens Adaline’s long-suppressed passion for life and romance. When a weekend with Ellis’ parents threatens to expose the truth, Adaline makes a decision that changes her life forever.”

I enjoyed the movie and I highly recommend this.

I give this movie 4 stars.
