Update – Personal

After my over all check up I haven’t really been posting as much as I use to. Oh god, it’s so difficult to sit down and write with so many things that’s needed to be done and so many things to think about. Personal and business.

I finally finished my physical check up and the results has come in. Thank God I’m perfectly okay. Except for my high blood sugar (I expected that), low Vitamin D (?), high uric acid and high bad cholesterol. Other than that every things alright.

I immediately cut down on my sugar. ASAP. On the first day I felt fine. Claudia asked me if I have sugar withdrawal and I said no. Which she didn’t believe. But on the second day I started to have withdrawal symptoms.

My water at home is ice tea. For the longest time my kids have been telling me that it is very unhealthy but I never listened. I am addicted to it. And aside from ice tea I eat a lot of chocolates. I literally have a cabinet full of chocolates.

It took about a week for me to feel okay without drinking ice tea and eating chocolates. It was not really that difficult to give up. I replaced ice tea with coconut water. Chocolates was the hardest to give up. My body is still adjusting up to now and I am still a little bit irritable. But I’m getting better I should say.

I am also working on that project I told you about. I just need to perfect the little details and I should be launching it in a few weeks.

Willow Jewelry is still getting orders which I am so happy. And I am still hustling everyday. It’s so fulfilling to be able to hustle. It’s fun actually.

And the little perks that I reward myself which I look forward to. The other day I went to Healthy Options to pick up a jar of my Andalou Naturals Beta Hydroxy Complex Recovery cream and Andalou Naturals Turmeric + C Enlighten Serum  and Andalou Naturals Revitalize Serum which I ran out of.

I have been using this brand for 2 years already.

Andalou Naturals uses fruit stem cells. They use Malus Domestica Apple and  Solar Vitis Grape.

Malus Domestica Apple is known to protect longevity of skin stem cells, delays senescence of essential cells and combats chronological aging.

Solar Vitis Grape protects skin stem cells against UV stress, delays senescence of essential cells, fights photo aging for a vital and healthy looking skin.

Both Malus Domestica Apple and Solat Vitis grape renew dormant cells, repair damaged cells and regenerate  healthy cells.

Andalou Naturals also has Bio Active 8 Berry complex and certified  organic aloe vera. They use all organic products. Mostly fruits.

My skin never looked so much better. Their packaging is just a bonus. I am very particular with packaging and I just love their packaging.

Aside from my beauty stash, my friend Gail sent me a vintage marble hand that I like so much. At first I was worried about the shipping cause it might break. Good thing it didn’t. Actually, LBC wrapped it carefully that it took me more than 30 minutes to unwrap it!

And now my marble hand sits near my work table!11107184_879987085406771_6125926676396250483_nLove it!

I did a quick photo shoot this afternoon. I really didn’t go anywhere today. I work from home. Wearing one of our just because tees. To remind you that we still have just because tees that you might want to wear this summer!

Please don’t mind the mess in our lanai floor. Ever since Schumi learned how to play in the pool, every chance he gets he wade in the pool and wet the floor and just about every thing in the house.

  • I also have been using lots of products from Andalou Naturals ever since I discovered how good it is 2 years ago. I’ve never bought as much products from one brand as I do theirs. Regarding sugar, we have switched to using xylitol made from hardwood birch about 3 years ago. I use it for baking, cooking etc. Xylitol has many benefits and tastes exactly like sugar, but doesn’t cause blood sugar levels to spike as much as white or brown sugar does. My daughter uses only xylitol toothpastes ever since her teeth came out and she doesn’t have cavities despite never having had fluoride (except in our tap water). It prevents cavities and is good for the teeth unlike ordinary sugars. But as with anything, eating too much can be bad. I think for adults 50g is max for one day. And we make sure the source is really from hardwood birch before we buy.

    • Thanks Nathalie! I’ll look for xylitol today! When I was suffering with acid reflux before one of my readers recommended Aloe Cure to me and it really help me every time I have acid attack!
That’s why I really believe everything that is recommended to me by my readers!
      Thanks again!

      • Careful lang with Xylitol, it’s deadly for dogs so make sure it is kept out of their reach. I love how all your dogs are so spoiled and I also admire how you didn’t blame Schumi for that scratch when you surprised him. A lot of other dog owners probably wouldn’t have been so forgiving. Made me like you all the more!

  • Thanks for the post, I tried the Andalou Brightening moisturizer and had great results with it. And it’s low cost is a big plus! Have you tried the Microsoft “how-old.net/#” app. It said I was 36 years old YAY not bad for a 55 yo. LOL must be a mistake but I will take anything at this point. I discovered you while reading Chuvaness and have been enjoying your blog daily ever since.

    • Thanks for reading my blog Sara!

That’s true at this point in time (I’m 55 too!) we take anything! hahahahaha

Oh, god you have no idea how in love I am with Andalou Naturals. I’m basically using every thing Nadalou Naturals now. From Shampoo/conditioner to shower gels to leave in conditioner to styling gel! And all my skin care products are all Andalou now. I alternate it with Korean skin care (which are good too btw).

For me nothing beats the fruit stem cells. You see the results right away.

I’ve used the most expensive creams there is in the market. I’ve used La Mer for the longest time. In fact I still have a few jars of the moisturizer in stock. It is good yes, in fairness. But it took awhile for me to see the result. Like after 2 jars of using it?

And I use Chanel Sublimage face cream and eye cream (which is also very expensive!!)

But for now for my everyday use I prefer my Andalou Naturals! Love it! And it is very inexpensive. Can you imagine how much I have saved already!

This is getting too long. hahahahaha! Basta about beauty I can talk forever!

Have a relaxing week end Sara!

  • My 18 year old sister is a beauty junkie and is currently using andalou naturals. now that you recommended it, I think I will look for it at Healthy Options soon! As a young adult (lol) its hard to have acne all the time and I truly hope this will be my miracle worker (I take Vitamin A+D to keep the acne at bay but with this heat? hello acne breakout talaga)

    • If you have break outs I highly recommend Aura Cacia Tea tree oil. Just dab a little on the break out and what normally takes more than a weak to cure a break out it lessens it to 3 days. And it doesn’t leave a scar! You can find it also in Healthy Options.
