Eat. Love. Wear.

Going to Salcedo Saturday Market and Legaspi Sunday Market has become one of my week end thing to do since last month. I never used to go to the week end markets. It’s Claudia & Vinny who are fond of going there.

But ever since Jules brought JSP one week end to one of the markets, I got hooked myself.

Today, we went again and luckily this time we caught the Paella lady, Margie Sy. Margie has been my friend even before she became the ‘Paella Lady’. I’ve known her since early 90’s.

And another friend Monie Sy was there, too, together with her daughter Kaye. So, we sort of had a mini reunion. So fun with all the screaming and laughing and the selfies that we did.

Of course, going to the week end market wouldn’t be complete without indulging ourselves with Margie’s paella negra. 10428017_854616694610477_5682452524254470286_nHer famous callos. 10603386_854615931277220_2031097245747279500_n

And her bacalao. 11054358_854615947943885_7794258219727400256_n

If you happen to drop by the week end market in Salcedo Village and Legaspi Village one of these days, do drop by the stall of the ‘Paella lady’. I am sure most of you have tried her paella already. But if you haven’t, it’s really worth a try. 11071515_854616781277135_5917820092083789094_n

“and once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.”

– Haruki Murakami.

I am who I am today because I have survived many storms. And each time, I come out a different person.

Scarred. But beautiful.

I literally wore just because tees the whole week. It became my office uniform the entire week!

Here are 2 of my favorites.
