When Vinny turned 25

Claudia is the secretary in our family. Every time we eat out she’s the one who takes care of the restaurant, the time and the reservation.

I left the responsibility to her because:

1. we always end up fighting every time we eat out. We never agree on the restaurant.

2. it’s a good training for her. She will become a wife and a mother someday and it’s better that she knows what a woman’s role is. Ever since she was in grade school I bring her to do grocery with me.

Yesterday was Vinny’s birthday and last Friday we all got a text from her:

Vinny turned 25 years old yesterday and I refuse to admit it.

It wasn’t just too long ago that I was 25 years old myself. And now I have a 25 year old child? No wonder my hair is turning grey fast. But still I will continue to refuse to admit that Vinny is 25 years old. I am in denial.

Some scenes from last night’s dinner at Elbert’s Steak Room:

That. Freak. Me. Out.

Happy birthday Vinny. For as long as I am still doing ootd I can’t have any grandchildren yet.
