I finally found time to go to the salon and have a hair cut. I have been wanting to cut my hair since April but it’s either I get lazy or I don’t have time. I dragged myself to the salon today cause my hair looks so horrible already. Especially at the tips.
I think I made 2 appointments since last month and cancelled it at the last minute.
I go to Emphasis Salon in Rockwell. It’s owned by my friend & hair stylist Teng Roma. Teng has been cutting my hair since mid ’80’s. He was working then in one of the best Salon in Manila at that time, Revere’, at their Ali Mall Branch. After Ali Mall he was moved to their branch in Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
Before Emphasis he co owned a salon in 6750 in Ayala Ave. (the name of the salon slipped my mind). He separated from his partners after a couple of years and opened his own, The Emphasis Salon at Rockwell.
Teng has become one of the best hair stylist in Manila. All socialites and wanna be socialites go to him.
I treat Teng differently. He is a friend first before he is my hair stylist. Everytime we see each other it’s always hilarious and I get updated with all the scandals of the elites of Manila. If you belong to Manila’s elite, hala ka alam ko storya mo. hahahahahaha. J/K
When I sat down I told him what I wanted. 1. I want to keep the length 2. I want more layers at the back 3. I also want layers in front 4. just trim the ends, etc… I went on until he stopped me and said: “ayan, ganyan ka haba ang puputolin ko kasi patay na buhok mo sa dulo! Isang taon ka ng hindi bumalik. Keep the length ka dyn”
So, I just left him and let him do what he wants to do. Here are some photos that I took:
He chopped off quite a big chunk of my hair. When Joshua (driver) opened the door of the car he told me: “ang ganda ng buhok mo mam, ah! Bumata ka ng mga sampung taon.” hahahahahahahaha.
If I were to believe what my driver told me, Teng chopped off 10 years of my life? Not bad. Bale, 25 years old na lang ako ngayon.
Claudia liked the length and liked my hair, so I guess it’s okay.
It should be okay Teng never fails.
