Facial Skin Care & Hair Care Products Haul

Saturday night.

Vinny & Claudia are out and I’m left alone. I might as well blog. I know I promised you that I will post my “how I do my everyday make-up” but I don’t have time yet. Hopefully tomorrow morning.

I went to Healthy Options & S&R yesterday and picked up a few things. I went to Healthy Options to get some vitamins and a tube of my eye cream which is about to run out. And I ended buying a few more stuff.

I want to share with you my haul in Healthy Options & S&R. For those of you who are kikay like me, this is for you.

Healthy Options Facial Skin Care Haul

These are the following products that I ended buying, too. All made of fruit stem cells that has the BioActive 8 Berry complex. I noticed that a lot of products are using fruit stem cells now a days. You can find these kind of products mostly in organic stores. It is suppose to work and I am a living example. My skin has never been better!

I have been using this eye cream for at least a month and a half already. This is not an eye cream per se. You can use this all over your face where there are fine lines and wrinkles. I use this mostly under my eye cause that’s where I have deep wrinkles and fine lines. I also use this on my forehead and around my mouth.

My first tube is nearly empty. I like this eye cream a lot and I needed to re-purchase it.

Deep Wrinkle DERMAL FILLER. Fruit Stem Cell Complex and Goji glycopeptides effectively slow cellular damage, boosting collagen and elastin to firm and tighten dermal texture, as cupuacu butter reduces skin tension to visibly fill, plump and smooth fine lines and wrinkles.

REVITALIZE SERUM. This ‘miracle in a bottle’ instantly goes to work with Fruit Stem Cells. BioActive 8 Berry Complex, and Resveratrol Q10, to repair deep cellular damage and discoloration for improved radiance, even skin tone, and smooth texture with fewer lines and wrinkles. Protecting and perfecting ageless beauty.

To use: AM & PM. Apply lightly on clean face and neck, prior to moisturizer.

RECOVERY CREAM. Fruit Stem Cell Complex works overnight to speed healing, as willow bark extract clarifies and minimizes pores, curbs bacteria, and balances excess oil. Salicylic acid helps fade hyperpigmentation for even tone and texture, as aloe vera oxygenerates, hydrates, and calms inflammation. Skin awakes feeling hydrated, repaired, and replenished. To use: Nightly. Apply to clean face and neck.

I read an article in Elle Magazine of an interview of an older woman. She was asked what her secret for looking so young inspite her age. She was already 60+ years old and she hardly had any wrinkles and looks so much younger than her age. She said her only secret is oil. She puts oil on her face every night instead of moisturizer. She said any kind of oil, coconut oil, sunflower oil, lavender oil, etc. She puts a drop (just one drop) on her finger and dabbed it all over her face every night.

I saw all kinds of oils in Healthy Options and decided to pick up a few. Aura Cacia had all kinds of oils available. Some for aromatherapy and some for cosmetic purposes.

Lemon oil is astringent and detoxifying and is therefore great for blemishes associated with oily skin. Lemon oil also has rejuvenating properties and will brighten dull skin.

Tea Tree Oil has a marked oil dissolving and dispersing action, which can help alleviate overly oily secretions of the skin. One way to take advantage of tea tree’s natural astringent action is to dilute 12 drops of the oil in about three ounces of warm water and gently wipe freshly cleaned skin with the mixture using a soft cotton ball.

Bergamot Oil The fresh, fruity scent of this uncommon citrus fruit makes a refreshing room spray. Combine with water in a spritzer to help discourage mold and mildew and remove odor.

Brighten Mood: Waft open bottle under your nose.

Nature’s Gate Vitamin E Oil is a special blend of rich, naturally emollient oils. Combined Vitamin E, Grapeseed and Safflower oils for their soothing and nourishing, antioxidant properties. The result is an ideal non-sticky moisturizer that is quickly absorbed to help provide renewed softness and suppleness.

Direction: Gently massage into skin. Best when used daily.

Rejuvenating ARGAN OIL Morocco. Aura Cacia’s Moroccan Argan Oil provides hair therapy when you need it most. Whether you prefer products for natural hair, a hair treatment or curly hair products – argan oil can be used in a variety of ways that will improve your hair’s strength, combat dryness and scalp issues as well as increase shine and softness.

Smooth, protect and detangle. Apply a small amount of Aura Cacia Organic Argan Oil to the palm of your hand. Rub hands together and distribute through clean, damp hair, starting at the ends and working your way up to the roots. Style as usual.

For curly and natural hairstyles: divide hair into sections, separating the front, sides, top and back with hair clips. Apply a small amount of Aura Cacia Organic Argan Oil to the palm of your hand. Rub hands together and distribute evenly over palms. Grabbing one section at a time, lightly coat and scrunch curls or waves, working the argan oil into the hair. Repeat until you’ve done each section, stopping to apply more product to palms when necessary. Air dry hair and separate curls with fingers for desired definition.

Dry Hair Styling

Moisturize and eliminate frizz. Apply 2-3 drops of Aura Cacia Organic Argan Oil to palms and rub hands together to distribute evenly. Lightly smooth hands over frizz and flyaways, closing fingers around hair at the ends for added texturizing.

Revitalize overnight with a natural hair treatment mask. Apply Aura Cacia Organic Argan Oil generously through hair. Wrap hair in an old scarf or bandana and secure. In the morning, wash and condition as usual and follow any of the above After Shower Tips.

AZTEC SECRET INDIAN HEALING CLAY. Clays have been used for centuries to beautify and refresh when used as a facial mask. Cleopatra used clay from the Nile river and the Arabian desert over 1800 years ago, as part of her beauty ritual.

Directions: Mix clay with equal parts of raw apple cider and/or water. Use a non metal bowl and utensil. Stir the mixture well to smooth paste.Add more clay or water as needed.. Apply 1/4 in to 1/2 in to the face or other area. Let it dry for 5-10 minutes for delicate skin and 15-20 minutes for normal skin.

Remove clay by washing with warm water. Slight redness of the skin is normal and will disappear in about 30 minutes. Removes impurites and dirt from the pores.

They still have a lot of other products available. I like this brand because it is organic (mostly made of fruits and herbs), paraben free and no harshful chemicals and the most important thing is my skin loves it and it really works for me. I slowly saw the change of my skin after a week of use. I am obssessed, to say the least.

S&R Hair Care Haul

I went to S&R to buy some munchies. I bought Vinny’s favorite Cheescake Factory cheesecake and Cheesecake Factory chocolate cake, chips, muffins, Haagen Daz salt & caramel ice cream bar, etc. The only thing I wanted there was the Kirkland Macadamia Clusters but as usual it was out of stock. And my favorite banana (saba)! S&R have the best banana saba. Rustan’s grocery is not good and sometimes you get ugly ones also in the palengke. That’s why I usually buy my banana saba in S&R.

I always pass by the toiletry section before I check out and picked up these:

TRESemme’ Keratin Smooth Illuminating Hair spray
IMG_4193
TRESemme’ Dry Shampoo

Aveeno Dry Shampoo
IMG_4194
TRESemme’ Mousse

And my love affair with TRESemme’ goes on. One of the brands that my hair loves!

I started using dry shampoo early this year. I normally shampoo my hair every other day. Because I have dry hair and I use heat styling all the time. Altho’ I use heat protector everytime I use my heat styling gadgets. My hair looks nice after 2 days without shampoo. I’ve always loved the tussled look or the bed head look and you can only achieve this if you don’t shampoo your hair often, or you use sea salt spray.

The only available dry shampoo here in Manila is Dove. Until I saw TRESemme’ and Aveeno in S&R. I haven’t tried these yet. I’ll give you feedback once I have tried it.

I love Dove dry shampoo. I love the smell and with just a quick shake the white powder disappears right away.

Okay, enough beauty talk for the day. Time to go to sleep.

Goodnight.
