New Finds in the Grocery!

I usually do my grocery shopping on Mondays. It used to be Saturdays but I got fed up with the crowd and the long line in the check out counter. It’s so much waste of time.

So, anyway when I went to the grocery this morning (Rustan’s Grocery, Ayala Ave. branch) I found so many new products made in Italy that just arrived last week (according to Arlene, one of the supervisors). I went crazy!

First they had all kinds of Risottos.

Then they had Paella and black rice.

And all sorts of flavored sea salts!

And Polentas.

I picked up the seafood risotto, the paella marinara & the flavored garlic.

I cooked the seafood Risotto for dinner tonight and it was sooooo yummy. If I should say so myself! Altho’ I added some fresh shrimps (it came with dried shrimps). I will try the paella tomorrow! I didn’t get any of the sea salts anymore cos I still have a big bottle of the pink Himalayan sea salt and besides it was kinda pricey. It was P700+ per pack!

The pastas were so overwhelming that I didn’t buy any. Maybe some other time when I am more calm. LOL!
