One of my errands today among many was go to Watson’s to get some toiletries. When I was done picking up my items there was a short line in the cashier. Behind me was an elderly sosyal looking lady and she was with her friend.
I suddenly felt a gentle tapped on my shoulder and she told me: “you look so familiar. I think I met you before already. I just can’t remember where and when.”
me: really? (I looked at her but she didn’t look familiar to me)
sosyal lady: yes, I think I met you already. You look so familiar. Are you from here?
me: yes. I’m from Makati. Dasmariñas Village
sosyal lady: oh, I am from Dasma also! Maybe I’ve seen you around the village
me: ya, maybe! Do you read our monthly magazine? Dasmariñas Gazette?
sosyal lady: yes!
me: I am one of the writers in our village magazine that’s why maybe I look familiar to you.
sosyal: oh, yes! I think that’s why you look familiar! What’s your name?
I told her my name and she said: “I am *bleep* and she introduced me to her equally sosyal friend.
me: nice to meet you!
sosyal lady: here, let me give you my card. My consulate office is in Glorietta. I am the consul of Togo.
Where the heck is Togo? But I didn’t want to look ignorant to her, so I said:
me: oh my god, really? I’ve always wanted to go to Togo!
The cashier called me cos it was my turn already. So, I said good bye to them and told her I’ll visit her in her office!
Where the heck is Togo? When I got to the car, I hurriedly googled Togo.
It is in Africa.
This is exactly where Togo is:
Kaso lang walang Sephora dun.
