What’s Inside My Make up Travel Bag

We all love travelling, right? Stressful yes but in a nice way. I love the stress on what clothes/outfits, shoes & bags to pack. I love the stress when I pack my make up bag. How can you fit 3 cabinets full of make up in just 1 tiny bag? You have to pare down to the most basic items.

I think my journey begins when I start packing.

Aside from getting stress on packing, I love the stress also when checking-in in the airport. Lining up and getting nervous that hopefully you won’t be over weight. Lining up in the immigration, the security check where you have to remove your belt, shoes, etc. Checking Facebook, Twitter, Instagram while waiting to board.

I love it all! This is the kind of stress I don’t mind. LOL.

Packing my make up bag is the most difficult part. I am a make up junkie and I have tons of make up. Choosing on what to bring on my trip is very crucial. But travelling twice or thrice a year made me an expert already.

The make up bag I am currently using is my favorite among all my make up bags. I bought this in The Beauty Bar in Power Plant mall in Rockwell many years ago.

The reason why I love this make up bag is it has 3 compartments. It’s made of plastic so it’s very easy to clean. And it is very, very handy. It is clear inside so you don’t have a hard time looking for the items.

Here’s a closer look on the compartments of this make up bag:

L to R: 1. Sigma blending brush. This is very, very important for you to have a flawless eye make up. You need to have a blending brush. You will really see the difference of your eye make up when you use a blending brush. After all a good make up is all about the blending. There’s a lot of blending brushes out there. Sigma, Realtechnics, MAC, Sephora, etc. The drugstore brands are also good like the ELF make up brushes. If you don’t have a blending brush yet, I suggest you go buy one. You need this in your life. Believe me. 2. ELF flat top brush. I use this to buff my foundation. After putting my foundation I buff it so it will have a clean finish. 3. Essence of beauty eye make up brush. I use this to put my eye make up before I blend it. 4. Essence of beauty concealer brush. I use this when I need to conceal tiny spots on my face. 5. Essence of beauty angled brush. I use this when I contour my face with my bronzer. 6. Essence of Beauty kabuki brush. I use this in applying my blush and to blend together my blush and my bronzer. I normally don’t bring my expensive brushes cause I’m scared I might loose it.

L to R: 1.  Anastasia  Brow Wiz in Ebony. The best eyebrow pencil. 2. Nars Concealer in ginger. 3. Maybelline Lashionista mascara. I bought this in Watson’s Taiwan last year and I couldn’t find it anywhere. Not in New York, not in Hawaii, not in Hongkong. I guess this is only available in Taiwan. This is my go to mascara these days. It makes my eyelashes long and it also gives volume. 4. Maybelline Instant age rewind concealer. I use this under my eyes for concealing and for brightening. Love this. One of the best concealers I have ever tried. 5. YSL lipstick. This is my go to lipstick these days. It’s sheer & moisturizing. 6. Koji eye lash curler. This is the new eyelash curler that all beauty gurus are raving about. This is better than the Shu uemura. Believe me. Actually, I first heard about  Koji eyelash curler from my good friend Roxanne. She is very particular with her eye lashes. She is obsessed to have a good mascara when she goes out. At first I didn’t believe her. For me no one can beat the shu uemura eyelash curler. I have been using it for many years already. Until I heard from one beauty guru. She also said the same thing Roxanne told me! So when Claudia went to Hongkong the only thing I told her to buy for me was a Koji eyelash curler. She bought me in two sizes short & long. And I totally agree! The best eyelash curler! Ever. After curling your eyelashes and you apply mascara your eye lash fans out! This gadget is really amazing! Good bye Shu uemura!
