IV. MILAN, Italy

Since we have been to Rome already I have 2 choices either Milan or Florence. I opted to go to Milano!

We did a lot of sightseeing  (like a typical tourist) and shopping. I shopped in Milan more than I did in Paris.

Of course when you go to Milan you must never fail to go to the DUOMO, the cathedral in Milan and the Last Supper painting of Leonardo Da Vinci. And if you’re cultured like me (lol) you will not miss to visit La Scala, the world renowned opera house in Milan.

Teatro Alla Scala

We went inside the theatre but they were very strict. No cameras allowed. I was able to take a few shots in front of the theatre which is a small park. Beautiful.

The Last Supper by Leonardo Da Vinci

The viewing of the painting is by assigned hours and only limited people per viewing. I think less than 50 people per view. Definitely no cameras allowed inside.

We also went to this place were some of the drawings of Leonardo Da Vinci is housed

I met this lovable and wonderful guy Luigi. We were on our way to La Scala and I saw this shop in one of the streets. In the show window were bottles of my favorite perfume Aqua di Parma. I went inside cos I have been dying of getting hold of this cologne. The name of his shop is Milano Make up. You can’t miss it. It’s in the street going to La Scala.

I went crazy in his shop. I was able to buy my Aqua di Parma and other Italian colognes that Luigi suggested to me. I also met his bf Marci who was there hanging out in his shop.

We chatted about anything and I didn’t noticed I was in his shop for more than 30 mins! When I was about to leave he gave me YSL lipstick, shade of my choice!

He mentioned 2 bath gels that he likes and he said you can get it in any grocery store.  I can’t wait to use them!

I enjoyed shopping in Milan. I enjoyed going inside small shops of local brands. Good quality. Authentic Italian made. I enjoyed the food. Good authentic Italian cuisine. (Sorry, like I tell people who asked me, I rarely took pictures of the food cos I am not a foodie and I tend to forget to take pictures before we eat!) I enjoyed the weather. And most of all I enjoyed looking at all the fashionable men & women in the streets!

The main shopping street:

I thought I won’t survive Monte Napoleone!

And around the Duomo area you can find everything in every corner.
